Charles Lyell, who published the second volume of his Principles of Geology in 1833, attacked this idea and borrowed the term "evolution" from Geoffroy's student to describe the idea that species are evolving into new species in a gradual and predictable way.
Recently evolutionary biologists have defined evolution as a process when living things develop characteristics that enhance their chances of survival, or their ability to produce offspring. As time passes this genetic variation can lead to the emergence of entirely new physical or biological traits in a population. On August 6-7 in 1993, the same day that the World Expo opened in Daejeon, KACR held a second International Symposium on Creation Research. KACR and its members have been giving lectures on creation science in major seminaries as well. KACR plans to establish a Creation Science Education Center in the near future.
